Reporting to: Supervisor, Distribution
General Summary:
Supports the Supply Chain Support Centre (SCSC) with manual and administrative duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing and distribution of materials, parts and equipment. Works across department to achieve results for customers, internally and externally.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact with customers (direct and partners) regarding order status and general queries.
- Inbound and outbound communication with customers as well as partners, internal sales representatives, internal sales support and freight forwarders.
- Tracks and books the delivery of products to customers.
- Escalates problems to Supervisor (for example product shipment escalations, MWD and customs problems).
- Responsible for delivery paperwork as required with company policies (eg proof of delivery documents).
- Responsible for customs paperwork (eg resolution of any commercial invoice and packing slip matters).
- Freight Forwarder & Local carrier invoice checking and approval
- Assists in ad hoc day to day SCSC tasks.
Skills Required:
- Understands supply chain and logistics function.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi task
- Proven experience in customer service
- Experience in a fast pace environment
- Proficient computer skills.
